English Translation

231When you divorce women and their waiting period comes to an end, either keep them in kindness or let them go in kindness. But do not hold them back by force with the intention of harming them and violating their rights. Whoever does that has surely wronged himself. Do not take Allah's verses lightly. Reflect on Allah's blessing upon you, and on the Book and the wisdom He has sent down to you to admonish you with. Be accountable to Allah, and know that Allah certainly knows all things.
