بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most MercifulVerses 26–27
2 versesAl-Baqarah 26
اِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَا يَسْتَحْي۪ٓ اَنْ يَضْرِبَ مَثَلًا مَا بَعُوضَةً فَمَا فَوْقَهَاۜ فَاَمَّا الَّذ۪ينَ اٰمَنُوا فَيَعْلَمُونَ اَنَّهُ الْحَقُّ مِنْ رَبِّهِمْۚ وَاَمَّا الَّذ۪ينَ كَفَرُوا فَيَقُولُونَ مَاذَٓا اَرَادَ اللّٰهُ بِهٰذَا مَثَلًاۢ يُضِلُّ بِه۪ كَث۪يرًا وَيَهْد۪ي بِه۪ كَث۪يرًاۜ وَمَا يُضِلُّ بِه۪ٓ اِلَّا الْفَاسِق۪ينَۙ ٢٦
Mushaf
Transliteration
26İnne-llâhe lâ yestaḥyî ey yaḍribe meŝelem mâ beʿûḍaten femâ fevḳahâ. feemme-lleẕîne âmenû feyaʿlemûne ennehü-lḥaḳḳu mir rabbihim. veemme-lleẕîne keferû feyeḳûlûne mâẕâ erâde-llâhü bihâẕâ meŝelâ. yüḍillü bihî keŝîrav veyehdî bihî keŝîrâ. vemâ yüḍillü bihî ille-lfâsiḳîn.
English Translation
26Allah does not hesitate to give the example of a mosquito, or of something larger. Those who believe know that it is the truth/reality from their Lord; but most of the disbelievers who cover up the truth say, "What does Allah mean by this example?" and so stray from Allah's right path.
