بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most MercifulVerse 273

لِلْفُقَرَٓاءِ الَّذ۪ينَ اُحْصِرُوا ف۪ي سَب۪يلِ اللّٰهِ لَا يَسْتَط۪يعُونَ ضَرْبًا فِي الْاَرْضِۘ يَحْسَبُهُمُ الْجَاهِلُ اَغْنِيَٓاءَ مِنَ التَّعَفُّفِۚ تَعْرِفُهُمْ بِس۪يمٰيهُمْۚ لَا يَسْـَٔلُونَ النَّاسَ اِلْحَافًاۜ وَمَا تُنْفِقُوا مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ بِه۪ عَل۪يمٌ۟ ٢٧٣
Mushaf
Transliteration
273Lilfüḳarâi-lleẕîne uḥṣirû fî sebîli-llâhi lâ yesteṭîʿûne ḍarben fi-lʾarḍ. yaḥsebühümü-lcâhilü agniyâe mine-tteʿaffüf. taʿrifühüm bisîmâhüm. lâ yesʾelûne-nnâse ilḥâfâ. vemâ tünfiḳû min ḫayrin feinne-llâhe bihî ʿalîm.
English Translation
273(Charity) is the right of those who have devoted themselves to Allah's way and cannot travel the land to earn a living. Because of their modesty, the ignorant think they are rich. You recognize them by their faces; they cannot bring themselves to beg from people shamelessly. Whatever good you spend, Allah surely knows it fully.
