بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most MercifulVerses 219–220
2 versesAl-Baqarah 220
فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْاٰخِرَةِۜ وَيَسْـَٔلُونَكَ عَنِ الْيَتَامٰىۜ قُلْ اِصْلَاحٌ لَهُمْ خَيْرٌۜ وَاِنْ تُخَالِطُوهُمْ فَاِخْوَانُكُمْۜ وَاللّٰهُ يَعْلَمُ الْمُفْسِدَ مِنَ الْمُصْلِحِۜ وَلَوْ شَٓاءَ اللّٰهُ لَاَعْنَتَكُمْۜ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ عَز۪يزٌ حَك۪يمٌ ٢٢٠
Mushaf
Transliteration
220Fi-ddünyâ velʾâḫirah. veyesʾelûneke ʿani-lyetâmâ. ḳul iṣlâḥul lehüm ḫayr. vein tüḫâliṭûhüm feiḫvânüküm. vellâhü yaʿlemü-lmüfside mine-lmuṣliḥ. velev şâe-llâhü leaʿneteküm. inne-llâhe ʿazîzün ḥakîm.
English Translation
220On this world and the Hereafter... They ask you about orphans. Say: "Setting their affairs right is good. If you live together with them, they are your brothers." Allah knows how to distinguish the one who seeks to set things right from the one who spreads corruption. Had Allah willed, He could have put you in hardship. Surely Allah is absolutely mighty and right in every judgment.
