Al-Baqarah 286

English Translation

286Allah does not burden anyone with responsibility beyond their capacity. The (good) they have earned is in their favor, and the (evil) they have committed is against them! "Our Lord! Do not punish us if we forget or make a mistake! Our Lord, do not burden us with heavy responsibilities, just as You did not burden those before us! Our Lord, do not make us carry a burden we do not have the strength to bear. Pardon us/release us, forgive us, and have mercy on us. You are our Protector (Mawla). Help us against the disbelieving people."
