بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most MercifulVerse 216

كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ الْقِتَالُ وَهُوَ كُرْهٌ لَكُمْۚ وَعَسٰٓى اَنْ تَكْرَهُوا شَيْـًٔا وَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَكُمْۚ وَعَسٰٓى اَنْ تُحِبُّوا شَيْـًٔا وَهُوَ شَرٌّ لَكُمْۜ وَاللّٰهُ يَعْلَمُ وَاَنْتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ۟ ٢١٦
Mushaf
Transliteration
216Kütibe ʿaleykümü-lḳitâlü vehüve kürhül leküm. veʿasâ en tekrahû şeyʾev vehüve ḫayrul leküm. veʿasâ en tüḥibbû şeyʾev vehüve şerrul leküm. vellâhü yaʿlemü veentüm lâ taʿlemûn.
English Translation
216Fighting has been prescribed for you, even though you dislike it. It may be that you dislike something that is good for you, and it may be that you like something that is bad for you. You do not know, but Allah knows.
