بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most MercifulVerse 222
1 verseAl-Baqarah 222
وَيَسْـَٔلُونَكَ عَنِ الْمَح۪يضِۜ قُلْ هُوَ اَذًىۙ فَاعْتَزِلُوا النِّسَٓاءَ فِي الْمَح۪يضِۙ وَلَا تَقْرَبُوهُنَّ حَتّٰى يَطْهُرْنَۚ فَاِذَا تَطَهَّرْنَ فَاْتُوهُنَّ مِنْ حَيْثُ اَمَرَكُمُ اللّٰهُۜ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ يُحِبُّ التَّوَّاب۪ينَ وَيُحِبُّ الْمُتَطَهِّر۪ينَ ٢٢٢
Mushaf
Transliteration
222Veyesʾelûneke ʿani-lmeḥîḍ. ḳul hüve eẕen faʿtezilü-nnisâe fi-lmeḥîḍi velâ taḳrabûhünne ḥattâ yaṭhürn. feiẕâ teṭahherne feʾtûhünne min ḥayŝü emerakümü-llâh. inne-llâhe yüḥibbü-ttevvâbîne veyüḥibbü-lmüteṭahhirîn.
English Translation
222They also ask you about women's menstruation. Say: "It is a state of discomfort. So keep away from women during menstruation, and do not approach them until they are clean. When they have cleansed themselves, approach them in the manner Allah has commanded you. Surely Allah loves those who turn back from wrong in repentance, and He loves those who purify themselves."
