بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most MercifulVerses 190–192
3 versesAl-Baqarah 191
وَاقْتُلُوهُمْ حَيْثُ ثَقِفْتُمُوهُمْ وَاَخْرِجُوهُمْ مِنْ حَيْثُ اَخْرَجُوكُمْ وَالْفِتْنَةُ اَشَدُّ مِنَ الْقَتْلِۚ وَلَا تُقَاتِلُوهُمْ عِنْدَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ حَتّٰى يُقَاتِلُوكُمْ ف۪يهِۚ فَاِنْ قَاتَلُوكُمْ فَاقْتُلُوهُمْۜ كَذٰلِكَ جَزَٓاءُ الْكَافِر۪ينَ ١٩١
Mushaf
Transliteration
191Vaḳtülûhüm ḥayŝü ŝeḳiftümûhüm veaḫricûhüm min ḥayŝü aḫracûküm velfitnetü eşeddü mine-lḳatl. velâ tüḳâtilûhüm ʿinde-lmescidi-lḥarâmi ḥattâ yüḳâtilûküm fîh. fein ḳâtelûküm faḳtülûhüm. keẕâlike cezâü-lkâfirîn.
English Translation
191Kill those who fight you wherever you catch them. Drive them out from where they drove you out. Oppression and persecution aimed at faith are a greater wrong than killing. Do not fight them near the Masjid al-Haram unless they fight you there. But if they fight you, fight them. Such is the recompense of the disbelievers.
