Al-Baqarah 213

English Translation

213Humanity was originally a single community. Allah sent the prophets as bearers of good news and as warners, and with them He sent down the Book with the truth, to judge between people in what they differed about. But those who were given the Book fell into division after clear proofs had come to them, purely out of envy among themselves. Then Allah, by His permission, guided the believers to the right path on the matters they had differed about. Allah guides to His path whoever chooses the right path.
