بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most MercifulVerse 124
1 verseAl-Baqarah 124
وَاِذِ ابْتَلٰٓى اِبْرٰه۪يمَ رَبُّهُ بِكَلِمَاتٍ فَاَتَمَّهُنَّۜ قَالَ اِنّ۪ي جَاعِلُكَ لِلنَّاسِ اِمَامًاۜ قَالَ وَمِنْ ذُرِّيَّت۪يۜ قَالَ لَا يَنَالُ عَهْدِي الظَّالِم۪ينَ ١٢٤
Mushaf
Transliteration
124Veiẕi-btelâ ibrâhîme rabbühû bikelimâtin feetemmehünn. ḳâle innî câʿilüke linnâsi imâmâ. ḳâle vemin ẕürriyyetî. ḳâle lâ yenâlü ʿahdi-żżâlimîn.
English Translation
124His Lord had put Abraham through tests with certain weighty words, and when he fulfilled them completely, He said, "I will make you a leader/imam for people." Abraham said, "And from my descendants too?" Allah replied, "But this covenant of Mine does not include the wrongdoers."
