بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most MercifulVerses 94–96
3 versesAl-Baqarah 96
وَلَتَجِدَنَّهُمْ اَحْرَصَ النَّاسِ عَلٰى حَيٰوةٍۚ وَمِنَ الَّذ۪ينَ اَشْرَكُوا يَوَدُّ اَحَدُهُمْ لَوْ يُعَمَّرُ اَلْفَ سَنَةٍۚ وَمَا هُوَ بِمُزَحْزِحِه۪ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ اَنْ يُعَمَّرَۜ وَاللّٰهُ بَص۪يرٌ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ۟ ٩٦
Mushaf
Transliteration
96Veletecidennehüm aḥraṣa-nnâsi ʿalâ ḥayâh. vemine-lleẕîne eşrakû yeveddü eḥadühüm lev yüʿammeru elfe seneh. vemâ hüve bimüzaḥziḥihî mine-lʿaẕâbi ey yüʿammer. vellâhü beṣîrum bimâ yaʿmelûn.
English Translation
96You will find them the most eager of all people for life, even more than the polytheists! Some of them would like to live a thousand years; yet even that would not save them from the punishment. For Allah sees what they do.
