وَاِذَا ق۪يلَ لَهُمُ اتَّبِعُوا مَٓا اَنْزَلَ اللّٰهُ قَالُوا بَلْ نَتَّبِعُ مَٓا اَلْفَيْنَا عَلَيْهِ اٰبَٓاءَنَاۜ اَوَلَوْ كَانَ اٰبَٓاؤُ۬هُمْ لَا يَعْقِلُونَ شَيْـًٔا وَلَا يَهْتَدُونَ ١٧٠
Mushaf
Transliteration
170Veiẕâ ḳîle lehümü-ttebiʿû mâ enzele-llâhü ḳâlû bel nettebiʿu mâ elfeynâ ʿaleyhi âbâenâ. evelev kâne âbâühüm lâ yaʿḳilûne şeyʾev velâ yehtedûn.
English Translation
170When they are told, "Follow the Quran that Allah has revealed," they say, "No, we will follow the tradition our forefathers saddled us with." What if their forefathers were people who understood nothing and were not on the right path?
