بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most MercifulVerses 79–81
3 versesAl-Baqarah 80
وَقَالُوا لَنْ تَمَسَّنَا النَّارُ اِلَّٓا اَيَّامًا مَعْدُودَةًۜ قُلْ اَتَّخَذْتُمْ عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ عَهْدًا فَلَنْ يُخْلِفَ اللّٰهُ عَهْدَهُٓ اَمْ تَقُولُونَ عَلَى اللّٰهِ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ ٨٠
Mushaf
Transliteration
80Veḳâlû len temessene-nnâru illâ eyyâmem maʿdûdeh. ḳul etteḫaẕtüm ʿinde-llâhi ʿahden feley yuḫlife-llâhü ʿahdehû em teḳûlûne ʿale-llâhi mâ lâ taʿlemûn.
English Translation
80And they go so far as to say, "The Fire will not touch us except for a few numbered days." Ask them, "Have you taken a covenant/promise from Allah about this? If so, Allah never breaks His covenant/promise; or are you making up something about Allah that you do not know?"
