بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most MercifulVerses 164–165
2 versesAl-Baqarah 165
وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَنْ يَتَّخِذُ مِنْ دُونِ اللّٰهِ اَنْدَادًا يُحِبُّونَهُمْ كَحُبِّ اللّٰهِۜ وَالَّذ۪ينَ اٰمَنُٓوا اَشَدُّ حُبًّا لِلّٰهِۜ وَلَوْ يَرَى الَّذ۪ينَ ظَلَمُٓوا اِذْ يَرَوْنَ الْعَذَابَۙ اَنَّ الْقُوَّةَ لِلّٰهِ جَم۪يعًاۙ وَاَنَّ اللّٰهَ شَد۪يدُ الْعَذَابِ ١٦٥
Mushaf
Transliteration
165Vemine-nnâsi mey yetteḫiẕü min dûni-llâhi endâdey yüḥibbûnehüm keḥubbi-llâh. velleẕîne âmenû eşeddü ḥubbel lillâh. velev yera-lleẕîne żalemû iẕ yeravne-lʿaẕâbe enne-lḳuvvete lillâhi cemîʿav veenne-llâhe şedîdü-lʿaẕâb.
English Translation
165And among people are some who place others between themselves and Allah, hold them equal to Allah, and love them as they love Allah. But those who believe love Allah above all else. When those who hold certain people equal to Allah see the punishment, they will know that all power and strength belong to Allah and that Allah is severe in punishment—if only they could understand it (before death comes).
