بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most MercifulVerses 87–91
5 versesAl-Baqarah 91
وَاِذَا ق۪يلَ لَهُمْ اٰمِنُوا بِمَٓا اَنْزَلَ اللّٰهُ قَالُوا نُؤْمِنُ بِمَٓا اُنْزِلَ عَلَيْنَا وَيَكْفُرُونَ بِمَا وَرَٓاءَهُ وَهُوَ الْحَقُّ مُصَدِّقًا لِمَا مَعَهُمْۜ قُلْ فَلِمَ تَقْتُلُونَ اَنْبِيَٓاءَ اللّٰهِ مِنْ قَبْلُ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُؤْمِن۪ينَ ٩١
Mushaf
Transliteration
91Veiẕâ ḳîle lehüm âminû bimâ enzele-llâhü ḳâlû nüʾminü bimâ ünzile ʿaleynâ veyekfürûne bimâ verâehû vehüve-lḥaḳḳu müṣaddiḳal limâ meʿahüm. ḳul felime taḳtülûne embiyâe-llâhi min ḳablü in küntüm müʾminîn.
English Translation
91When they were told, "Believe in what Allah has revealed," they said, "We believe in what was revealed to us," and they disbelieved in the Quran that came after it, though it is a true Book confirming what is with them. Say to them, "If you truly believed in what was revealed to you, why then did you kill Allah's prophets before?"
