بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most MercifulVerses 109–110
2 versesAl-Baqarah 109
وَدَّ كَث۪يرٌ مِنْ اَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ لَوْ يَرُدُّونَكُمْ مِنْ بَعْدِ ا۪يمَانِكُمْ كُفَّارًاۚ حَسَدًا مِنْ عِنْدِ اَنْفُسِهِمْ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الْحَقُّۚ فَاعْفُوا وَاصْفَحُوا حَتّٰى يَاْتِيَ اللّٰهُ بِاَمْرِه۪ۜ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَد۪يرٌ ١٠٩
Mushaf
Transliteration
109Vedde keŝîrum min ehli-lkitâbi lev yeruddûneküm mim baʿdi îmâniküm küffârâ. ḥasedem min ʿindi enfüsihim mim baʿdi mâ tebeyyene lehümü-lḥaḳḳ. faʿfû vaṣfeḥû ḥattâ yeʾtiye-llâhü biemrih. inne-llâhe ʿalâ külli şeyʾin ḳadîr.
English Translation
109Many of the People of the Book, even after the truth has become clear to them, would like to turn you back to disbelief after your faith, purely out of the envy within them. So leave them alone and let them be until Allah's command comes. Surely Allah has power over all things.
