English Translation
249When Talut set out with his army, he said, "Allah will test you with a river. Whoever drinks from it is not with me, and whoever does not taste it is with me—except one who drinks a single handful." They drank from it, all but a few of them. When he and those who believed with him crossed the river, those who had disobeyed the order said, "Today we have no strength to stand against Jalut (Goliath) and his army." But those who kept in mind that they would meet their Lord/Master said, "How many a small company has defeated a large company by Allah's permission! Allah is with those who are patient."
