وَمَا مَنَعَهُمْ اَنْ تُقْبَلَ مِنْهُمْ نَفَقَاتُهُمْ اِلَّٓا اَنَّهُمْ كَفَرُوا بِاللّٰهِ وَبِرَسُولِه۪ وَلَا يَاْتُونَ الصَّلٰوةَ اِلَّا وَهُمْ كُسَالٰى وَلَا يُنْفِقُونَ اِلَّا وَهُمْ كَارِهُونَ ٥٤
Mushaf
Transliteration
54Vemâ meneʿahüm en tuḳbele minhüm nefeḳâtühüm illâ ennehüm keferû billâhi vebirasûlihî velâ yeʾtûne-ṣṣalâte illâ vehüm küsâlâ velâ yünfiḳûne illâ vehüm kârihûn.
English Translation
54The reason their spending is not accepted is that they are ungrateful to Allah and His Messenger, who conveys Allah's messages, that they come to the prayer only lazily, and that they give only grudgingly.
