مَا كَانَ لِاَهْلِ الْمَد۪ينَةِ وَمَنْ حَوْلَهُمْ مِنَ الْاَعْرَابِ اَنْ يَتَخَلَّفُوا عَنْ رَسُولِ اللّٰهِ وَلَا يَرْغَبُوا بِاَنْفُسِهِمْ عَنْ نَفْسِه۪ۜ ذٰلِكَ بِاَنَّهُمْ لَا يُص۪يبُهُمْ ظَمَاٌ وَلَا نَصَبٌ وَلَا مَخْمَصَةٌ ف۪ي سَب۪يلِ اللّٰهِ وَلَا يَطَؤُ۫نَ مَوْطِئًا يَغ۪يظُ الْكُفَّارَ وَلَا يَنَالُونَ مِنْ عَدُوٍّ نَيْلًا اِلَّا كُتِبَ لَهُمْ بِه۪ عَمَلٌ صَالِحٌۜ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَا يُض۪يعُ اَجْرَ الْمُحْسِن۪ينَۙ ١٢٠

Transliteration
120Mâ kâne liehli-lmedîneti vemen ḥavlehüm mine-lʾaʿrâbi ey yeteḫallefû ʿar rasûli-llâhi velâ yergabû bienfüsihim ʿan nefsih. ẕâlike biennehüm lâ yüṣîbühüm żameüv velâ neṣabüv velâ maḫmeṣatün fî sebîli-llâhi velâ yeṭaûne mevṭiey yegîżu-lküffâra velâ yenâlûne min ʿadüvvin neylen illâ kütibe lehüm bihî ʿamelün ṣâliḥ. inne-llâhe lâ yüḍîʿu ecra-lmuḥsinîn.
English Translation
120It is not fitting for the people of Medina, nor for the desert Arabs around them, to stay behind Allah's Messenger and to care more for their own lives than for his. For every thirst, weariness, and severe hunger they suffer in Allah's way, every move that enrages the disbelievers, and every victory won against the enemy will be recorded for them as a righteous deed. For Allah does not let the reward of those who do good go to waste.
