وَلَوْ اَرَادُوا الْخُرُوجَ لَاَعَدُّوا لَهُ عُدَّةً وَلٰكِنْ كَرِهَ اللّٰهُ انْبِعَاثَهُمْ فَثَبَّطَهُمْ وَق۪يلَ اقْعُدُوا مَعَ الْقَاعِد۪ينَ ٤٦
Mushaf
Transliteration
46Velev erâdü-lḫurûce leeʿaddû lehû ʿuddetev velâkin kerihe-llâhü-mbiʿâŝehüm feŝebbeṭahüm veḳîle-ḳʿudû meʿa-lḳâʿidîn.
English Translation
46Had they truly wanted to join the fighting, they would have made some preparation for it. But because of their reluctance and insincerity, Allah did not look favorably on their taking part and held them back, and they were told: "Sit at home with those who sit at home, like the helpless!"
