بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most MercifulVerse 46
1 verseAn-Nisa 46
مِنَ الَّذ۪ينَ هَادُوا يُحَرِّفُونَ الْكَلِمَ عَنْ مَوَاضِعِه۪ وَيَقُولُونَ سَمِعْنَا وَعَصَيْنَا وَاسْمَعْ غَيْرَ مُسْمَعٍ وَرَاعِنَا لَيًّا بِاَلْسِنَتِهِمْ وَطَعْنًا فِي الدّ۪ينِۜ وَلَوْ اَنَّهُمْ قَالُوا سَمِعْنَا وَاَطَعْنَا وَاسْمَعْ وَانْظُرْنَا لَكَانَ خَيْرًا لَهُمْ وَاَقْوَمَۙ وَلٰكِنْ لَعَنَهُمُ اللّٰهُ بِكُفْرِهِمْ فَلَا يُؤْمِنُونَ اِلَّا قَل۪يلًا ٤٦
Mushaf
Transliteration
46Mine-lleẕîne hâdû yüḥarrifûne-lkelime ʿam mevâḍiʿihî veyeḳûlûne semiʿnâ veʿaṣaynâ vesmaʿ gayra müsmeʿiv verâʿinâ leyyem bielsinetihim veṭaʿnen fi-ddîn. velev ennehüm ḳâlû semiʿnâ veeṭaʿnâ vesmaʿ venżurnâ lekâne ḫayral lehüm veaḳveme velâkil leʿanehümü-llâhü biküfrihim felâ yüʾminûne illâ ḳalîlâ.
English Translation
46Some of those who became Jews, distorting words from their original meanings and twisting their tongues with the intent of insulting the religion, say, "We heard and held on/we disobeyed," "Listen—may you not hear," and "Ra'ina" (herd us). If they had said, "We heard and we obeyed; listen to us and attend to us," it would surely have been better and more honest for them. But Allah has cursed them because of this disbelief of theirs. So, except for very few of them, they do not become believers.
