بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most MercifulVerse 78
1 verseAn-Nisa 78
اَيْنَ مَا تَكُونُوا يُدْرِكْكُمُ الْمَوْتُ وَلَوْ كُنْتُمْ ف۪ي بُرُوجٍ مُشَيَّدَةٍۜ وَاِنْ تُصِبْهُمْ حَسَنَةٌ يَقُولُوا هٰذِه۪ مِنْ عِنْدِ اللّٰهِۚ وَاِنْ تُصِبْهُمْ سَيِّئَةٌ يَقُولُوا هٰذِه۪ مِنْ عِنْدِكَۜ قُلْ كُلٌّ مِنْ عِنْدِ اللّٰهِۜ فَمَا لِهٰٓؤُ۬لَٓاءِ الْقَوْمِ لَا يَكَادُونَ يَفْقَهُونَ حَد۪يثًا ٧٨
Mushaf
Transliteration
78Eyne mâ tekûnû yüdrikkümü-lmevtü velev küntüm fî bürûcim müşeyyedeh. vein tüṣibhüm ḥasenetüy yeḳûlû hâẕihî min ʿindi-llâh. vein tüṣibhüm seyyietüy yeḳûlû hâẕihî min ʿindik. ḳul küllüm min ʿindi-llâh. femâ lihâülâi-lḳavmi lâ yekâdûne yefḳahûne ḥadîŝâ.
English Translation
78Wherever you may be, death will overtake you, even if you are in the towers of solidly built fortresses. When things go well for them, they say, "This is from Allah." When some hardship befalls them, they say, "This is because of you." Say: "Everything that befalls you is within Allah's knowledge." What is the matter with these people, that they hardly want to understand Allah's hadith (word)?
