بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most MercifulVerses 95–96

لَا يَسْتَوِي الْقَاعِدُونَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِن۪ينَ غَيْرُ اُو۬لِي الضَّرَرِ وَالْمُجَاهِدُونَ ف۪ي سَب۪يلِ اللّٰهِ بِاَمْوَالِهِمْ وَاَنْفُسِهِمْۜ فَضَّلَ اللّٰهُ الْمُجَاهِد۪ينَ بِاَمْوَالِهِمْ وَاَنْفُسِهِمْ عَلَى الْقَاعِد۪ينَ دَرَجَةًۜ وَكُلًّا وَعَدَ اللّٰهُ الْحُسْنٰىۜ وَفَضَّلَ اللّٰهُ الْمُجَاهِد۪ينَ عَلَى الْقَاعِد۪ينَ اَجْرًا عَظ۪يمًاۙ ٩٥
Mushaf
Transliteration
95Lâ yestevi-lḳâʿidûne mine-lmüʾminîne gayru üli-ḍḍarari velmücâhidûne fî sebîli-llâhi biemvâlihim veenfüsihim. feḍḍale-llâhü-lmücâhidîne biemvâlihim veenfüsihim ʿale-lḳâʿidîne deraceh. veküllev veʿade-llâhü-lḥusnâ. vefeḍḍale-llâhü-lmücâhidîne ʿale-lḳâʿidîne ecran ʿażîmâ.
English Translation
95Those who choose to stay in their homes and not join the battle, without a valid excuse, are never equal to the believers who fight in Allah's way with their wealth and their lives. Allah has raised those who fight with their wealth and their lives to a rank above those who avoid the struggle. Granted, Allah has promised Paradise to all the believers. But Allah has given those who fight a far greater reward than those who stay at home.
