وَقَوْلِهِمْ اِنَّا قَتَلْنَا الْمَس۪يحَ ع۪يسَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ رَسُولَ اللّٰهِۚ وَمَا قَتَلُوهُ وَمَا صَلَبُوهُ وَلٰكِنْ شُبِّهَ لَهُمْۜ وَاِنَّ الَّذ۪ينَ اخْتَلَفُوا ف۪يهِ لَف۪ي شَكٍّ مِنْهُۜ مَا لَهُمْ بِه۪ مِنْ عِلْمٍ اِلَّا اتِّبَاعَ الظَّنِّۚ وَمَا قَتَلُوهُ يَق۪ينًاۙ ١٥٧
Mushaf
Transliteration
157Veḳavlihim innâ ḳatelne-lmesîḥa ʿîse-bne meryeme rasûle-llâh. vemâ ḳatelûhü vemâ ṣalebûhü velâkin şübbihe lehüm. veinne-lleẕîne-ḫtelefû fîhi lefî şekkim minh. mâ lehüm bihî min ʿilmin ille-ttibâʿa-żżann. vemâ ḳatelûhü yeḳînâ.
English Translation
157And because they said, "We killed the Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, Allah's messenger"... Yet they neither managed to kill him nor to crucify him. But they supposed so. Those who differ about Jesus are in deep doubt about this. They have no certain knowledge about it; they only follow conjecture. They certainly did not manage to kill him.
