بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most MercifulVerse 135
1 verseAn-Nisa 135
يَٓا اَيُّهَا الَّذ۪ينَ اٰمَنُوا كُونُوا قَوَّام۪ينَ بِالْقِسْطِ شُهَدَٓاءَ لِلّٰهِ وَلَوْ عَلٰٓى اَنْفُسِكُمْ اَوِ الْوَالِدَيْنِ وَالْاَقْرَب۪ينَۚ اِنْ يَكُنْ غَنِيًّا اَوْ فَق۪يرًا فَاللّٰهُ اَوْلٰى بِهِمَا فَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا الْهَوٰٓى اَنْ تَعْدِلُواۚ وَاِنْ تَلْوُٓ۫ا اَوْ تُعْرِضُوا فَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ كَانَ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَب۪يرًا ١٣٥
Mushaf
Transliteration
135Yâ eyyühe-lleẕîne âmenû kûnû ḳavvâmîne bilḳisṭi şühedâe lillâhi velev ʿalâ enfüsiküm evi-lvâlideyni velʾaḳrabîn. iy yekün ganiyyen ev feḳîran fellâhü evlâ bihimâ felâ tettebiʿü-lhevâ en taʿdilû. vein telvû ev tüʿriḍû feinne-llâhe kâne bimâ taʿmelûne ḫabîrâ.
English Translation
135O you who believe! Strive with all your strength to uphold right and justice, bearing true witness for Allah, even if it is against yourselves, your parents, or your relatives! Whether one is rich or poor, Allah's right comes before all. Do not deviate from justice by following your desires and whims. If you distort the truth by twisting your tongues, know that Allah is aware of what you do.
