بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most MercifulVerse 156
1 verseAli 'Imran 156
يَٓا اَيُّهَا الَّذ۪ينَ اٰمَنُوا لَا تَكُونُوا كَالَّذ۪ينَ كَفَرُوا وَقَالُوا لِاِخْوَانِهِمْ اِذَا ضَرَبُوا فِي الْاَرْضِ اَوْ كَانُوا غُزًّى لَوْ كَانُوا عِنْدَنَا مَا مَاتُوا وَمَا قُتِلُواۚ لِيَجْعَلَ اللّٰهُ ذٰلِكَ حَسْرَةً ف۪ي قُلُوبِهِمْۜ وَاللّٰهُ يُحْي۪ وَيُم۪يتُۜ وَاللّٰهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَص۪يرٌ ١٥٦
Mushaf
Transliteration
156Yâ eyyühe-lleẕîne âmenû lâ tekûnû kelleẕîne keferû veḳâlû liiḫvânihim iẕâ ḍarabû fi-lʾarḍi ev kânû guzzel lev kânû ʿindenâ mâ mâtû vemâ ḳutilû. liyecʿale-llâhü ẕâlike ḥasraten fî ḳulûbihim. vellâhü yuḥyî veyümît. vellâhü bimâ taʿmelûne beṣîr.
English Translation
156O you who believe! Do not be like the disbelievers who say of their relatives who set out on a campaign or took part in battle, "Had they stayed with us, they would neither have died nor been killed." Allah has turned this into a deep ache and a burning longing in their hearts. It is Allah who gives life and Allah who takes it. Allah sees all that you do.
