كُنْتُمْ خَيْرَ اُمَّةٍ اُخْرِجَتْ لِلنَّاسِ تَاْمُرُونَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَتَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ وَتُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللّٰهِۜ وَلَوْ اٰمَنَ اَهْلُ الْكِتَابِ لَكَانَ خَيْرًا لَهُمْۜ مِنْهُمُ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ وَاَكْثَرُهُمُ الْفَاسِقُونَ ١١٠
Mushaf
Transliteration
110Küntüm ḫayra ümmetin uḫricet linnâsi teʾmürûne bilmaʿrûfi vetenhevne ʿani-lmünkeri vetüʾminûne billâh. velev âmene ehlü-lkitâbi lekâne ḫayral lehüm. minhümü-lmüʾminûne veekŝeruhümü-lfâsiḳûn.
English Translation
110You are the best community/society brought forth for people. You recommend what is good and beautiful and prevent what is evil and ugly. You believe and trust in Allah. If the People of the Book had also believed and trusted, it would surely have been better for them. Among them are believers, but most of them are transgressors who have strayed from the path.
