بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ

وَمِنْ اَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ مَنْ اِنْ تَاْمَنْهُ بِقِنْطَارٍ يُؤَدِّه۪ٓ اِلَيْكَۚ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ اِنْ تَاْمَنْهُ بِد۪ينَارٍ لَا يُؤَدِّه۪ٓ اِلَيْكَ اِلَّا مَا دُمْتَ عَلَيْهِ قَٓائِمًاۜ ذٰلِكَ بِاَنَّهُمْ قَالُوا لَيْسَ عَلَيْنَا فِي الْاُمِّيّ۪نَ سَب۪يلٌۚ وَيَقُولُونَ عَلَى اللّٰهِ الْكَذِبَ وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ ٧٥
Mushaf
Transliteration
75Vemin ehli-lkitâbi men in teʾmenhü biḳinṭâriy yüʾeddihî ileyk. veminhüm men in teʾmenhü bidînâril lâ yüʾeddihî ileyke illâ mâ dümte ʿaleyhi ḳâimâ. ẕâlike biennehüm ḳâlû leyse ʿaleynâ fi-lʾümmiyyîne sebîl. veyeḳûlûne ʿale-llâhi-lkeẕibe vehüm yaʿlemûn.
English Translation
75Among the People of the Book is one who, if you entrust him with a qintar of gold, will return it to you as it is; and among them is one who, if you entrust him with a single dinar, will not return it to you unless you keep standing over him. That is because they say, "We have no responsibility toward the unlettered." They knowingly tell lies about Allah.
