بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ

اَلَّذ۪ينَ قَالُٓوا اِنَّ اللّٰهَ عَهِدَ اِلَيْنَٓا اَلَّا نُؤْمِنَ لِرَسُولٍ حَتّٰى يَاْتِيَنَا بِقُرْبَانٍ تَاْكُلُهُ النَّارُۜ قُلْ قَدْ جَٓاءَكُمْ رُسُلٌ مِنْ قَبْل۪ي بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ وَبِالَّذ۪ي قُلْتُمْ فَلِمَ قَتَلْتُمُوهُمْ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِق۪ينَ ١٨٣

Transliteration
183Elleẕîne ḳâlû inne-llâhe ʿahide ileynâ ellâ nüʾmine lirasûlin ḥattâ yeʾtiyenâ biḳurbânin teʾkülühü-nnâr. ḳul ḳad câeküm rusülüm min ḳablî bilbeyyinâti vebilleẕî ḳultüm felime ḳateltümûhüm in küntüm ṣâdiḳîn.
English Translation
183To those who say, "Allah has taken a covenant/promise from us that we should not believe in any messenger unless he brings us a sacrifice offered by burning," say: "Many messengers came to you before me with clear proofs and with the very thing you speak of. If you are truthful, why then did you kill them?"
