English Translation
12Allah had long ago taken a firm covenant/pledge from the Children of Israel. We appointed twelve representatives from among them, and Allah said: "I am with you; if you perform the prayer properly, give the zakat (the obligatory alms), believe in My messengers and support them, and spend your wealth in His way for the good pleasure of Allah, I will certainly cover over your evil deeds and place you in gardens beneath which rivers flow. But whoever of you breaks this promise after this has strayed from the straight path."
