In any case, Allah knows everything you do.

15Those who stayed behind and did not join the campaign, when you set out on another campaign in which you will gain spoils of war, want to change Allah's judgment concerning them by saying: —Let us come with you too! Say to them: —You will never join us, for Allah has already declared this concerning you. And they will say: —No, the truth is that you begrudge us the spoils. On the contrary, they are people of little understanding.
16Say to those Bedouin Arabs who did not join the campaign: —Very soon you will be called to fight against a people of great might; either you will fight them to the end, or they will surrender. 25Yes, it was those very disbelievers who barred you from entering the Sacred Mosque (al-Masjid al-Haram) and did not allow your sacrificial animals to reach it. But had it not been that you would have incurred a burden of guilt by unknowingly taking the lives of believing men and women there whom you did not yet know, you would certainly have been permitted to fight them. So Allah did not give you permission to fight, in order to protect with His mercy those who, by believing, deserved to be protected. English Translation
29Muhammad is most certainly Allah's Messenger. Those who are with him are uncompromising and very stern toward the disbelievers, and very compassionate and merciful toward one another. You see them constantly bowing (ruku) and prostrating (sajdah), seeking Allah's grace and good pleasure; their mark is the trace of prostration on their foreheads, and the sincerity in their faces and their conduct. This is their likeness in the Torah. And their likeness in the Gospel is this: they are like a seed that has put forth its shoot; Allah strengthens that shoot and thickens it, so that it stands upright, firmly rooted, and delights the farmer. The believers' growing strong in this way makes the disbelievers choke with rage. To them, that is, to those who believe and do good and beautiful deeds, Allah has promised both boundless forgiveness from His presence and a magnificent reward.
