بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most MercifulVerses 9–15
7 versesAl-Ahzab 15
وَلَقَدْ كَانُوا عَاهَدُوا اللّٰهَ مِنْ قَبْلُ لَا يُوَلُّونَ الْاَدْبَارَۜ وَكَانَ عَهْدُ اللّٰهِ مَسْؤُ۫لًا ١٥
Mushaf
Transliteration
15Veleḳad kânû ʿâhedü-llâhe min ḳablü lâ yüvellûne-lʾedbâr. vekâne ʿahdü-llâhi mesʾûlâ.
English Translation
15Yet they had previously given Allah a covenant/promise that they would never flee from battle. They will certainly be called to account for going back on this covenant they gave to Allah.
