بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most MercifulVerse 49
1 verseAl-Ahzab 49
يَٓا اَيُّهَا الَّذ۪ينَ اٰمَنُٓوا اِذَا نَكَحْتُمُ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ ثُمَّ طَلَّقْتُمُوهُنَّ مِنْ قَبْلِ اَنْ تَمَسُّوهُنَّ فَمَا لَكُمْ عَلَيْهِنَّ مِنْ عِدَّةٍ تَعْتَدُّونَهَاۚ فَمَتِّعُوهُنَّ وَسَرِّحُوهُنَّ سَرَاحًا جَم۪يلًا ٤٩
Mushaf
Transliteration
49Yâ eyyühe-lleẕîne âmenû iẕâ nekaḥtümü-lmüʾminâti ŝümme ṭallaḳtümûhünne min ḳabli en temessûhünne femâ leküm ʿaleyhinne min ʿiddetin taʿteddûnehâ. femettiʿûhünne veserriḥûhünne serâḥan cemîlâ.
English Translation
49O you who believe, if you marry believing women and then divorce them before consummating the marriage, you have no right to require them to observe a waiting period (iddah). So give them the dowry (mahr) you set and their divorce settlement, and release them in a fine manner.
