بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most MercifulVerse 189
1 verseAl-A'raf 189
هُوَ الَّذ۪ي خَلَقَكُمْ مِنْ نَفْسٍ وَاحِدَةٍ وَجَعَلَ مِنْهَا زَوْجَهَا لِيَسْكُنَ اِلَيْهَاۚ فَلَمَّا تَغَشّٰيهَا حَمَلَتْ حَمْلًا خَف۪يفًا فَمَرَّتْ بِه۪ۚ فَلَمَّٓا اَثْقَلَتْ دَعَوَا اللّٰهَ رَبَّهُمَا لَئِنْ اٰتَيْتَنَا صَالِحًا لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الشَّاكِر۪ينَ ١٨٩

Transliteration
189Hüve-lleẕî ḫaleḳaküm min nefsiv vâḥidetiv veceʿale minhâ zevcehâ liyesküne ileyhâ. felemmâ tegaşşâhâ ḥamelet ḥamlen ḫafîfen femerrat bih. felemmâ eŝḳalet deʿave-llâhe rabbehümâ lein âteytenâ ṣâliḥal lenekûnenne mine-şşâkirîn.
English Translation
189It is He who created you from a single essence/soul, and from that same essence/soul made its mate, so that it might find calm and peace with her. When the man embraced his wife, she bore a light burden and carried it for a certain time; and when it grew heavy, they both prayed to Allah: "If You grant us a healthy child, we will surely be among the grateful."
