بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ

وَاِذْ اَخَذَ رَبُّكَ مِنْ بَن۪ٓي اٰدَمَ مِنْ ظُهُورِهِمْ ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ وَاَشْهَدَهُمْ عَلٰٓى اَنْفُسِهِمْۚ اَلَسْتُ بِرَبِّكُمْۜ قَالُوا بَلٰىۚۛ شَهِدْنَاۚۛ اَنْ تَقُولُوا يَوْمَ الْقِيٰمَةِ اِنَّا كُنَّا عَنْ هٰذَا غَافِل۪ينَۙ ١٧٢
Mushaf
Transliteration
172Veiẕ eḫaẕe rabbüke mim benî âdeme min żuhûrihim ẕürriyyetehüm veeşhedehüm ʿalâ enfüsihim. elestü birabbiküm. ḳâlû belâ. şehidnâ. en teḳûlû yevme-lḳiyâmeti innâ künnâ ʿan hâẕâ gâfilîn.
English Translation
172When your Lord brought forth their offspring from the backs of the Children of Adam/when they came of age, He made them witnesses over themselves and said: —Am I not your Lord/Master? They said: —Yes, You are our Lord/Master. We too bore witness, lest you say on the Day of Resurrection, "We were unaware of this."
