بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most MercifulVerse 164
1 verseAl-A'raf 164
وَاِذْ قَالَتْ اُمَّةٌ مِنْهُمْ لِمَ تَعِظُونَ قَوْمًاۨۙ اللّٰهُ مُهْلِكُهُمْ اَوْ مُعَذِّبُهُمْ عَذَابًا شَد۪يدًاۜ قَالُوا مَعْذِرَةً اِلٰى رَبِّكُمْ وَلَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَّقُونَ ١٦٤
Mushaf
Transliteration
164Veiẕ ḳâlet ümmetüm minhüm lime teʿiżûne ḳavmen-llâhü mühlikühüm ev müʿaẕẕibühüm ʿaẕâben şedîdâ. ḳâlû maʿẕiraten ilâ rabbiküm veleʿallehüm yetteḳûn.
English Translation
164A group among them said: —Why do you keep admonishing a people whom Allah is going to destroy or punish with a severe punishment? Those who warned said: "So that we may have an excuse to present before our Lord, and perhaps they will take admonition and guard themselves."
