وَقَطَّعْنَاهُمْ فِي الْاَرْضِ اُمَمًاۚ مِنْهُمُ الصَّالِحُونَ وَمِنْهُمْ دُونَ ذٰلِكَۘ وَبَلَوْنَاهُمْ بِالْحَسَنَاتِ وَالسَّيِّـَٔاتِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ ١٦٨

Transliteration
168Veḳaṭṭaʿnâhüm fi-lʾarḍi ümemâ. minhümu-ṣṣâliḥûne veminhüm dûne ẕâlik. vebelevnâhüm bilḥasenâti vesseyyiâti leʿallehüm yerciʿûn.
English Translation
168We broke the Children of Israel apart and scattered them in groups across the earth. Some of them are virtuous and honest, and some are not. We tested them with prosperity and hardship, so that they might turn back.
