وَاتَّخَذَ قَوْمُ مُوسٰى مِنْ بَعْدِه۪ مِنْ حُلِيِّهِمْ عِجْلًا جَسَدًا لَهُ خُوَارٌۜ اَلَمْ يَرَوْا اَنَّهُ لَا يُكَلِّمُهُمْ وَلَا يَهْد۪يهِمْ سَب۪يلًاۢ اِتَّخَذُوهُ وَكَانُوا ظَالِم۪ينَ ١٤٨

Transliteration
148Vetteḫaẕe ḳavmü mûsâ mim baʿdihî min ḥuliyyihim ʿiclen cesedel lehû ḫuvâr. elem yerav ennehû lâ yükellimühüm velâ yehdîhim sebîlâ. itteḫaẕûhü vekânû żâlimîn.
English Translation
148After Moses had left (for Mount Sinai), his people made from their ornaments a calf that could bellow, and they worshipped it. Did they not see that it did not speak to them and showed them no way? Yet they still became attached to it and were among the wrongdoers.
