قَالَ مَا مَنَعَكَ اَلَّا تَسْجُدَ اِذْ اَمَرْتُكَۜ قَالَ اَنَا۬ خَيْرٌ مِنْهُۚ خَلَقْتَن۪ي مِنْ نَارٍ وَخَلَقْتَهُ مِنْ ط۪ينٍ ١٢
Mushaf
Transliteration
12Ḳâle mâ meneʿake ellâ tescüde iẕ emertük. ḳâle ene ḫayrum minh. ḫalaḳtenî min nâriv veḫalaḳtehû min ṭîn.
English Translation
12Allah said: —What prevented you from prostrating when I commanded you? Iblis said: —I am superior to him, for You created me from fire and created him from mud.
