Al-A'raf 176

176Had We wished, We would have raised him up through Our verses. But he clung to this world, followed his whims, and was overcome by his greed. His case is like that of a dog that growls and hangs out its tongue whether you go at it or leave it alone. Such is the case of a people who cling to lies in the face of Our verses. So relate these stories, so that perhaps they will reflect and take admonition.
