بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most MercifulVerses 137–138

وَقَالُوا هٰذِه۪ٓ اَنْعَامٌ وَحَرْثٌ حِجْرٌۘ لَا يَطْعَمُهَٓا اِلَّا مَنْ نَشَٓاءُ بِزَعْمِهِمْ وَاَنْعَامٌ حُرِّمَتْ ظُهُورُهَا وَاَنْعَامٌ لَا يَذْكُرُونَ اسْمَ اللّٰهِ عَلَيْهَا افْتِرَٓاءً عَلَيْهِۜ سَيَجْز۪يهِمْ بِمَا كَانُوا يَفْتَرُونَ ١٣٨
Mushaf
Transliteration
138Veḳâlû hâẕihî enʿâmüv veḥarŝün ḥicr. lâ yaṭʿamühâ illâ men neşâü bizaʿmihim veenʿâmün ḥurrimet żuhûruhâ veenʿâmül lâ yeẕkürûne-sme-llâhi ʿaleyhe-ftirâen ʿaleyh. seyeczîhim bimâ kânû yefterûn.
English Translation
138And according to their false beliefs they say: "These animals and crops are sacred/untouchable; no one may eat of them except whom we wish. And these animals may not be ridden or loaded." And there are certain animals over which they do not mention Allah's name, slandering Allah. When the time comes, Allah will punish them for what they invent.
