بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ

وَلَقَدْ اَرْسَلْنَٓا اِلٰٓى اُمَمٍ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ فَاَخَذْنَاهُمْ بِالْبَاْسَٓاءِ وَالضَّرَّٓاءِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَضَرَّعُونَ ٤٢
Mushaf
Transliteration
42Veleḳad erselnâ ilâ ümemim min ḳablike feeḫaẕnâhüm bilbeʾsâi veḍḍarrâi leʿallehüm yeteḍarraʿûn.
English Translation
42Indeed, We sent messengers to the communities that came and went before you too, and We put them through severe hardship and distress so that they might acknowledge their helplessness and implore Us.
