وَاِنْ كَادُوا لَيَفْتِنُونَكَ عَنِ الَّذ۪ٓي اَوْحَيْنَٓا اِلَيْكَ لِتَفْتَرِيَ عَلَيْنَا غَيْرَهُۗ وَاِذًا لَاتَّخَذُوكَ خَل۪يلًا ٧٣
Mushaf
Transliteration
73Vein kâdû leyeftinûneke ʿani-lleẕî evḥaynâ ileyke litefteriye ʿaleynâ gayrah. veiẕel letteḫaẕûke ḫalîlâ.
English Translation
73They had almost lured you away from the Quran We revealed to you, so that you would invent things in Our name and thus slander Us; and in that case they would have taken you as a Khalil/close friend.
