بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most MercifulVerse 33
1 verseAl-Isra 33
وَلَا تَقْتُلُوا النَّفْسَ الَّت۪ي حَرَّمَ اللّٰهُ اِلَّا بِالْحَقِّۜ وَمَنْ قُتِلَ مَظْلُومًا فَقَدْ جَعَلْنَا لِوَلِيِّه۪ سُلْطَانًا فَلَا يُسْرِفْ فِي الْقَتْلِۜ اِنَّهُ كَانَ مَنْصُورًا ٣٣
Mushaf
Transliteration
33Velâ taḳtülü-nnefse-lletî ḥarrame-llâhü illâ bilḥaḳḳ. vemen ḳutile mażlûmen feḳad ceʿalnâ liveliyyihî sülṭânen felâ yüsrif fi-lḳatl. innehû kâne menṣûrâ.
English Translation
33And never take a life that Allah has made inviolable, except for a just cause! Moreover, if anyone is killed unjustly, We have given his next of kin authority (to demand retaliation or compensation). But let him not go to excess in punishment; he has already been helped by being given that authority.
