بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ

وَلَئِنْ اَخَّرْنَا عَنْهُمُ الْعَذَابَ اِلٰٓى اُمَّةٍ مَعْدُودَةٍ لَيَقُولُنَّ مَا يَحْبِسُهُۜ اَلَا يَوْمَ يَاْت۪يهِمْ لَيْسَ مَصْرُوفًا عَنْهُمْ وَحَاقَ بِهِمْ مَا كَانُوا بِه۪ يَسْتَهْزِؤُ۫نَ۟ ٨
Mushaf
Transliteration
8Velein eḫḫarnâ ʿanhümü-lʿaẕâbe ilâ ümmetim maʿdûdetil leyeḳûlünne mâ yaḥbisüh. elâ yevme yeʾtîhim leyse maṣrûfen ʿanhüm veḥâḳa bihim mâ kânû bihî yestehziûn.
English Translation
8And if We postpone that punishment from them for a set period, they say: —What is holding it back? Know well that on the day that punishment comes, there will be no power to turn it away from them, and the very thing they made light of will close in on them from every side.
