قَالَ يَا نُوحُ اِنَّهُ لَيْسَ مِنْ اَهْلِكَۚ اِنَّهُ عَمَلٌ غَيْرُ صَالِحٍۘ فَلَا تَسْـَٔلْنِ مَا لَيْسَ لَكَ بِه۪ عِلْمٌۜ اِنّ۪ٓي اَعِظُكَ اَنْ تَكُونَ مِنَ الْجَاهِل۪ينَ ٤٦
Mushaf
Transliteration
46Ḳâle yâ nûḥu innehû leyse min ehlik. innehû ʿamelün gayru ṣâliḥ. felâ tesʾelni mâ leyse leke bihî ʿilm. innî eʿiżuke en tekûne mine-lcâhilîn.
English Translation
46Allah said: —He was not of your family; this request of yours is improper conduct. Do not ask of Me something whose real nature you do not know; I counsel you not to be one of the ignorant.
