بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most MercifulVerse 82
1 verseAl-Qasas 82
وَاَصْبَحَ الَّذ۪ينَ تَمَنَّوْا مَكَانَهُ بِالْاَمْسِ يَقُولُونَ وَيْكَاَنَّ اللّٰهَ يَبْسُطُ الرِّزْقَ لِمَنْ يَشَٓاءُ مِنْ عِبَادِه۪ وَيَقْدِرُۚ لَوْلَٓا اَنْ مَنَّ اللّٰهُ عَلَيْنَا لَخَسَفَ بِنَاۜ وَيْكَاَنَّهُ لَا يُفْلِحُ الْكَافِرُونَ۟ ٨٢
Mushaf
Transliteration
82Veaṣbeḥa-lleẕîne temennev mekânehû bilʾemsi yeḳûlûne veykeenne-llâhe yebsüṭu-rrizḳa limey yeşâü min ʿibâdihî veyaḳdir. levlâ em menne-llâhü ʿaleynâ leḫasefe binâ. veykeennehû lâ yüfliḥu-lkâfirûn.
English Translation
82Those who only the day before had wished to be in his place now said: —Ah! So it turns out that Allah gives provision in abundance to whomever He wills/whoever deserves it among His servants, and gives it in measure to whomever He wills. Had Allah not been gracious to us, He would have sunk us into the depths of the earth too. Ah! So the ungrateful disbelievers never prosper after all.
