قَالَ اِنَّمَٓا اُو۫ت۪يتُهُ عَلٰى عِلْمٍ عِنْد۪يۜ اَوَلَمْ يَعْلَمْ اَنَّ اللّٰهَ قَدْ اَهْلَكَ مِنْ قَبْلِه۪ مِنَ الْقُرُونِ مَنْ هُوَ اَشَدُّ مِنْهُ قُوَّةً وَاَكْثَرُ جَمْعًاۜ وَلَا يُسْـَٔلُ عَنْ ذُنُوبِهِمُ الْمُجْرِمُونَ ٧٨
Mushaf
Transliteration
78Ḳâle innemâ ûtîtühû ʿalâ ʿilmin ʿindî. evelem yaʿlem enne-llâhe ḳad ehleke min ḳablihî mine-lḳurûni men hüve eşeddü minhü ḳuvvetev veekŝeru cemʿâ. velâ yüsʾelü ʿan ẕünûbihimü-lmücrimûn.
English Translation
78Qarun said: —I acquired all this wealth and property only through my knowledge and skill. Did he not know that Allah had destroyed, among the generations before him, many who were stronger and richer than he? Those who have made crime their second nature need no questioning about their sins.
