وَاسْتَكْبَرَ هُوَ وَجُنُودُهُ فِي الْاَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّ وَظَنُّٓوا اَنَّهُمْ اِلَيْنَا لَا يُرْجَعُونَ ٣٩
Mushaf
Transliteration
39Vestekbera hüve vecünûdühû fi-lʾarḍi bigayri-lḥaḳḳi veżannû ennehüm ileynâ lâ yürceʿûn.
English Translation
39He and his armies acted arrogantly in the land, with no regard for anyone's rights, and thought they would not come back to Us to give account.
