English Translation
4In the past, Pharaoh acted arrogantly in the land and grew utterly insolent; he divided the people of the land into classes, slaughtering the sons of one group and sparing their women, seeking in this way to weaken and crush them. Pharaoh was truly one of those who spread corruption.
